Adrenochromes,

Adrenochromes

Ongoing project 2017 - present

Searching for the sharpest points, the algorithm uses similarities in micro contrast and parallels in form as it's guide, in a desperate attempt to create a new sharper image.
Archive photographs are stretched, rotated and overlaid, pixels are generated to fill gaps. This automated algorithmic process creates outcomes that are both controlled by strict parameters and defined by chance.

Presented as a solo exhibition on 2020, the images were printed onto birch plywood panels.
UV ink and varnish on gesso prepared boards, 400x500mm. 2020
